Like most people, employees of the Northwest Pulp and Paper Association and its 13 member mills enjoy living in the Northwest for its unsurpassed beauty, its recreational opportunities, cultural diversity, and its bountiful and productive farms and forests.

Because we live, work and play in the great Northwest, we do our best to produce paper products in a way that balances environmental, social and economic goals. In everything we do we strive to conserve the environment.

In addition to contributing to the economic well being of the region by providing jobs and supporting our communities, our schools, our transportation systems and other public services, the pulp and paper mills of the Northwest have invested more than $1 billion dollars to upgrade pollution control equipment and technology in their manufacturing plants.
